Almeda and Ivan live so close to the city of Waterloo they are a few hundred meters from the city limits. Their mixed farm includes a patch of raspberries that they sold to Bailey's Local Foods unsprayed.

Elmira Produce Auction, Elmira, ON

Bailey's Local Foods sometimes buys local foods from the auction. This auction only sells local produce (within 74 kilometers) and mostly from Old Order Mennonite farmers. The auction has encouraged many farms in the area to grow produce that they can then sell at the auction.

If you are ever in the Simcoe area, stop at Kernal. They have a great store where you can taste over 10 different flavours of peanuts. They also sell little cups of vanilla ice cream with a swirl of chocolate and Kernal peanuts inside.
